DogFest is a series of annual events taking place in cities around the U.S. benefiting the mission of providing differently-abled people and children with trained service animals. Over 400 people are currently on the wait list to receive a FREE, fully trained assistance dog from Canine Companions®.

The Oakland event itself will be a lot of fun! Attendees can expect a costume contest, music, a local beer and wine garden, crafts for both people and dogs, doggy treats, pet photos, caricatures, and festival booths alike. All well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.

It’s free to attend, but donations are more than welcome. Parking will be available all along the waterfront and at several decks near Jack London Square.
